Match Report & Preview:

Return of Edwards
In Yorkshire, there will be seven matches between local rivals. Perhaps the one which will make most appeal will be that at Elland Road, where Leeds United oppose
Huddersfield Town, last season's Cup finalists. Both clubs will field the strongest sides at their command. United followers will have to wait to see Goldberg in action at right back in place of the transferred Sproston. Goldberg was hurt in last Saturday's practice game, while, Browne, the left half back, has a touch of influenza and Mills is injured. Jack Milburn will revert to his old position at right back, and he will be partnered by Gadsby, the promising reserve player. Makinson will figure at left half, making room for the return of Edwards, who in practice has shown all his old skill. The formation of the Huddersfield Town attack will arouse interest. The clever display given in the practice game has brought places for Mills and Hinchliffe in the inside positions filled last season by Barclay and Isaac while Price, who played so competently in the concluding games of last campaign, is to lead the line. Wienand, the South African, and Beasley are on the wings. This attack should provide a good opening test for the United defence. Town have their old defence, except that Hayes, the Irish international, will be at right back for Craig.
LEEDS UNITED'S TEAM FOR TO-DAY
Leeds United will play the following team against Huddersfield Town (kick-off 8.15) this afternoon, at Elland Road, in the Jubilee Fund game, namely: Twomey; Milburn (Jack), Gadsby; Edwards, Holley, Makinson; Armes, Ainsley, Hodgson Stephenson, Buckley.

UNITED'S OLD FAILINGS
Forwards at Fault in Front of Goal
HINCHCLIFFE SHINES FOR "TOWN"
The match at Elland Road between Leeds United and Huddersfield Town attracted, but 7,352 spectators, and United had to struggle hard to effect a 1-1 draw with an improved Huddersfield side. Both goals came from penalty kicks taken by the respective right backs, Hayes giving "Town" the lead after 37 minutes, and Milburn equalising in the 66th minute. Opening with, a high wind in their favour, "Town" attacked in a style that was attractive and dangerous, and the display of the ex-Grimsby forward, Hinchcliffe, was highly promising. He crowned an admirable partnership with Beasley with most enterprising marksmanship, and was the most dangerous forward on view. On this form, Hinchcliffe will solve one of the inside forward problems for Huddersfield. Both defences were sound, and Gadsby who has waited long for a second senior
appearance performed ably at left back for United. Milburn took the right berth, as Goldberg was unavailable owing to an injured foot. In goal Twomey was confidence
personified under pressure, and it was Holley's one defensive blunder which led to "Town" securing the lead, Price going through and Milburn handling. Finishing weakness by United's front line in the vital final stages of approach opened up the old misgivings. At first there was a lack of balance, with the Stephenson-Buckley wing out of gear. With more rhythmic collective movement there was still a lack of tactical guile in passing for the creation of an opening, or for shooting opportunity. Hodgson had to make his chances, but was always a menace, despite Young's close shadowing Stephenson once had a tremendous shot rebound from a post. It was following a foul on Hodgson by Young in the, penalty area that Jack Milburn equalised. Near the close a magnificent save by Twomey from Price prevented a Town victory.
